Kopi
Luwak is the most rare and expensive coffee in the world. Its rarity
is caused by the fact that each year the world produces not more than
a few tons. But its price, about 18-20 EUR/50 g, is caused by the
hard process of production and also very strange.
Kopi Luwak coffee beans are made through a unique process, the coffee bean
is processed in the stomach of an animal. The Asian palm civet eats
the fruit and then eliminates them, then they are disinfected and
roasted.
At
the end of the process of collecting, cleansing, disinfection,
roasting specialists claim that the kopi luwak coffee beans are
cleaner and without microbes than regular coffee beans on the market.
